HUNGRY HEARTS FOOD ASSEMBLY

MIN AGE: Kids of ALL ages are welcome (adult supervision required please)
Join us on April 27th to pack 300 Hungry Hearts food bags for the students of Perkins Elementary!
We are thrilled to align The Hungry Hearts Food Drive with Youth Volunteer Month, celebrating the power of community service and the difference we can make when we join forces for a good cause.
During this event, in each bag, volunteers will pack:
- Canned Items
- Protein Bars
- Chips
- Nuts
At the end of the event, volunteers will have a chance to distribute the bags to the Perkins Elementary Community!
If you would like to help the low-income/homeless, this is an amazing way to do so.

YOUTH COACHES
DATE: Ongoing, Tuesdays 3:30 to 4:30 PM
LOCATION: Horton Elementary School 5050 Guymon St, San Diego, CA 92102
MIN AGE: 14
We provide soccer, basketball clinics once a week at our local low income elementary schools (3th to 5th graders). We invite you to join us to become that person that makes a positive impact for youth through sports.
As a youth volunteer you will:
- Earn volunteer hours
- Give back to the community
- Have the opportunity to interact with some amazing kids
WAREHOUSE VOLUNTEER DAY
DATE: May 4th, 2024 12:30- 2:30 PM
LOCATION: San Diego Food Bank Miramar Warehouse 9850 Distribution Avenue, San Diego CA, 92121
MIN AGE: 11
Join us at the San Diego Food Bank, to help sort, label, and package food items. Our potential projects may include
- Cleaning, inspecting, sorting, packing
- Labeling food products
- Assembling food boxes
- Check expiration dates and best buy dates, inspect the food to ensure products follow our food safety standards, sort the food by type, and pack the food for community distribution.
