Maradona’s Hands of God Goal

If you are a football fan, then you might be knowing about Maradona’s hand of God Goal in 1986 World Cup Football. It was a quarter final match between England vs Argentina, which was held at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on 22nd June 1986, during the FIFA World Cup.

The match replay showed that Maradona scored the first goal by striking the ball with his hand. It became known as “Hand of God”. This was described as “a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God.” The “Hand of God” controversy had made this match one of the most memorable and heroic matches in FIFA World Cup history. Finally, on 22nd August 2005, Maradona accepted on television that he had hit the ball with his hand deliberately, and that he instantly knew the goal was illegal.

The Argentine star is remembered for his numerous attention-grabbing quirkiness, especially his “Hand of God” controversy. I recall the epic match and how I became very excited when Maradona hit the ball with his hand. I want to possess that ball. Since, Maradona had hit the ball with his hand, I have gone crazy about that ball. I wish I could touch that ball once in my lifetime.
