Carolina Basketball Museum
Carolina Basketball Museum is a famous Basketball museum located on the campus of the University of North Carolina. It is located on the first floor of the Ernie Williamson Athletics Center, which is adjacent to the Smith Center and Koury Natatorium on Skipper Bowles Drive. The museum features statistical, photos, videos, artifacts and historical panels that highlight the history of the Carolina Basketball program. The size of the museum is 8,000 square feet and the cost is around $3.4 million.

The museum is opened to public on Monday-Friday from 10:00am to 04:00pm and on Saturday from 09:00am to 01:00pm. There is no Admission fee. The parking is located across the street in the metered spaces of the Williamson lot during the regular business hours and the overflow parking is available in the Ramshed Deck for an hourly fee.

- Around 40 cases of memorabilia, uniforms, trophies, books, shoes, rings, balls, etc.
- Six-minute gameday theater presentation.
- Videos of the Michael Jordan, Phil Ford, Dean Smith, Roy Williams and the Carolina Family.
- Videos of the five national championships and game action highlights.
The museum experience begins with a six-minute theatre presentation, including videos tributes to Michael Jordan, Phil Ford, Dean Smith and many others great basketball players, and the history of UNC Basketball. It also includes interactive presentations highlighting Carolina’s 17 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championships, 18 Final Four appearance, and many of the greatest games and most exciting finishes in Tar Heel history.
This is really a great basketball museum. The main room of the museum is filled with memorabilia, artifacts, cases and video kiosks. Visitors can also listen to television and radio calls of 30 of Carolina’s greatest moments. From the main room, the natural flow of tour takes visitor into the March Madness section. In this section, you will see 16 ACC tournament trophies, as well as 12 UNC trophies.
